About the Artist
Growing up on an island, I spent countless hours exploring forests, beaches, tide pools and my "swamp". Nature became my first teacher, awakening a lifelong fascination with the beauty, complexity, and quiet wonder woven throughout creation. I found myself captivated by the life within humans, and animals each carrying its own story, personality, and purpose.
Over the years, life brought both deep joy and significant hardship. Those experiences reshaped the way I see the world, revealing that beauty is often found not in perfection, but in authenticity, resilience, hope and even messy mistakes. As I experience continued healing, my paintings change with me as I am changed.
Today, I paint to celebrate the wonder of life and to invite others to slow down long enough to truly see it. My work blends realism with expressive abstraction, allowing each piece to carry both recognizable beauty and room for personal interpretation. Animals frequently become symbolic companions within my paintings, reflecting qualities like courage, gentleness, freedom, and transformation.
I feel most connected to myself-and most connected to God-when I’m creating. Painting has become a conversation, a healing source and an act of trust, discovery and letting go, where each layer reveals something I couldn’t have planned from the beginning.
My desire is that my artwork does more than decorate a wall. I hope it invites people to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the beauty, hope, and possibilities that already exist within and around them.
